The meeting was called to order by Shirley Wayne Washington.
A. Rollcall - Members introduced themselves 8 Present 6 Absent 2 Vacancies (Newhallville and Board of Aldermen)
B. Approval of Agenda
Motion to approve agenda with amendments made by Evelise Ribeiro; seconded by Barbara Carroll; motion carried unanimously.
C. Approval of Minutes
Motion to approve the October 12, 2006 meeting minutes was made by Robert Spirito; seconded by Catherine Gootkin; motion carried unanimously.
D. Coordinator's Report
Motion to approve the Coordinator’s Report was made by Robert Spirito; seconded by Catherine Gootkin; motion carried unanimously.
E. Open Floor
? Lieutenant Pat Redding, OIC, Internal Values and Ethics, provided an update on IVE caseload (approximately 100). Lieutenant Redding provided details on IVE methodology and idealogy. ? Reverend Walter Johnson, Jr. and his spouse, Peggy, were introduced to the membership.
F. Unfinished Business ? Shirley Wayne Washington, Ann Tramontana, Barbara Carroll and William Bixby provided their recollection of the last Deadly Force Task Force meeting.
G. Subcommittee Reports
? William Bixby reported on a meeting held to discuss draft recommendations for a proposal to revise CRB charge and authority. He spoke about the Joe Avery Block Watch Board. ? Evelise Ribeiro reported on the most recent Board of Police Commissioners meeting and discussed the current recruit officer process. ? Barbara Carroll initiated a discussion on the plans for the December CRB meeting.
H. New Business
? Copies of various correspondence was distributed by Shirley Wayne Washington. Materials from the last NACOLE conference were also distributed by Shirley Wayne Washington. ? There was discussion on the CRB election process for 2006-2007. The Coordinator will mail nomination forms with a deadline for returns of November 20th, followed by a vote form to be returned no later than November 30th.
